Camping Has Finally Gone to the Dogs!
Rutherfordton, NC March 24, 2004 -– More than 70% of all RV, tent or cabin vacationers travel with pets. Yet, until now, nobody has bothered to cater especially to this unique target group. After three years of intense research, Hospitality Consultant Meik Bartoschek and his wife Birgit, a world renowned artist portraying dogs in natural settings, have decided to end the frustration with so called "dog friendly" lodging and created a haven for human and canine visitors alike on 30+ acres of scenic farmland in the foothills of the NC mountains.
"Our approach to accommodate humans traveling with their pets - especially dogs" says Birgit Bartoschek, co- owner and CEO of Four Paws Kingdom, will change the way campgrounds treat their guests."
"Our two and four legged friends will be able to enjoy a dog dedicated vacation experience that includes full service camping facilities for our humans guests as well as custom build dog amenities like off-leash dog playgrounds and paw parks, agility ring, pond swimming, dog bathhouse, acres of hiking trails and more…
Four Paws Kingdom will celebrate its Grand Opening on June 4th. Meik Bartoschek is currently working with dog trainers, vets and handlers to present weekend lectures, workshops and seminars at the campground pavilion - sponsored by the Four Paws Kingdom Foundation.
